A list of travel-related blogs and websites. If you want your blog/site added let me know but If it sucks I’ll provide a warning to my readers. I’ll be adding a lot more to the list over the next few weeks.
Warning: Some of the sites below have links to credit cards (among other affiliate links) on their sites. That’s okay. But, you should be aware that some bloggers will try and promote links that aren’t in your best interest, i.e., there are better offers out there for you as a consumer. Please do your research on the current credit card sign-up bonuses and feel free to email me with any questions, I’ll do my best to steer you in the right direction.
Miles, Points, etc.
Doctor Of Credit : One of my favorite blogs. Frequently the first to deliver fresh credit card industry news and report on new bank account bonus offers. Many tips on free miles and points throughout.
Frequent Flyer Bonuses : A very very comprehensive list of airline, hotel, and car rental offers and codes to earn you more miles and points.
Frequent Miler : One of the greats, continually coming up with creative ways to maximize points earning.
Loyalty Lobby : A true expert on loyalty programs. Puts a ton of thought and work into his blog, and it shows.
Loyalty Traveler : Another expert whose specialty is the hotel industry. Always up-to-date on the new hotel promotions.
Mile Nerd : Most miles in the fewest words possible. Straight and to the point. Maintains the best “Best Credit Cards” list that I’ve seen, untainted by affiliate links that may entice one to peddle a crappier sign up bonus.
Mommy Points : Resource for people who like to travel (me) with kids (not me).
One Mile At A Time : Lots of content. Writes a lot of trip reports focusing on first-class, business-class, and hotel reviews.
TravelBloggerBuzz : A unique perspective on the “miles and points blogs” out there. He delivers great content and some laughs to go along with it.
Travel Is Free : Very knowledgeable on airline mileage redemption rules. A must read.
View From The Wing : Gary Leff has been doing his thing in the miles and points world for-ev-er. Really knows his stuff.
Wandering Aramean : He’s written a bunch of tools that I find useful. The Hotel Award Search Map and Avios Map are the two that I use the most.
Adventurous Kate : Solo Female Travel is her niche. Interesting perspective and content.
Girl vs. Globe : Younger lady who blogs about traveling the world.
Nomadic Matt : Author of “How to Travel the World on $50 A Day”. Literally wrote the book on how to live frugally while traveling long-term.
Fatwallet : Less centered on travel and more on deals/personal finance. Still a good resource that’s been around a LONG time.
Flyertalk : For frequent flyers, miles and points collectors, mileage-run seekers, and manufactured spenders. Everything’s fair game.
Milepoint : Similar to Flyertalk in many respects, but smaller and a little less pretentious IMHO.
Saverocity :Up and coming forum that has some solid content. Great community that is willing to help.
Slickdeals : Mostly focused on sales and deals. Good for those looking to buy items and low prices and resell at a profit.
Travel Codex : Some good stuff here too. Mistake fares, award help, and tips for newbies.
